LEO + CLIVE - 25TH ANNIVERSARY WRAP
$275.00 CAD $325.00 CAD
We're celebrating our 25th anniversary and we are so pleased to have created this limited edition scarf in collaboration with internationally recognized and Toronto based, mixed-media artist Thrush Holmes.
"I’ve watched Thrush painting in his studio,” says The Cashmere Shop owner and head designer, Alison Currie. “He is loose and romantic in his movements, which translates to his art. That movement and romance are qualities I associate with and love about cashmere. I thought it was a perfect fit and I asked him if we could use one of his paintings for a limited-edition scarf for our 25th anniversary.”
The piece Currie chose is titled “Forbidden Fruit" and was inspired, in part, by Holmes’ recent travels to Scotland. Scotland also happens to be essential to the history of cashmere and is the birth place of The Cashmere Shop’s founder (and Alison’s father) Alaster Currie. A country close to their hearts.
Photographer Christina Gapic, shot sections of Holmes’ work for Canadian company Leo + Clive to weave the design into a colour rich and supple textured scarf, making it an essential addition to any wardrobe.
