How to Wash

Washing your cashmere is one of the most important things you can do for your cashmere garments.
Washing will keep your cashmere feeling soft and looking great.

Our cashmere feels softer the more you wash it! Don’t be afraid, we’ll walk you through these super easy but important
steps on how to take care of and keep your cashmere looking fresh for generations to come.

Fill your sink with lukewarm water and add a capful of our mild hypo-allergenic Cashmere Shampoo. Immerse the cashmere and swish it gently,
taking care not to agitate, stretch or wring the item. Soak for 10-15 minutes.

Empty your sink and gently ball up the cashmere and squeeze out the excess water without wringing or stretching the item.
Refill the sink with clean lukewarm water. Immerse the cashmere and lightly swish it around to rinse.
Repeat this step with clean water until the detergent is gone.

After all the excess water has been squeezed out, lay your cashmere on top of a clean towel and flat surface.
Gently roll up the towel and the item together.

Our secret tip: Walk along the rolled towel like a tightrope walker! This will remove any excess water,
making it easier to block and it helps dry the cashmere faster.

Remove the cashmere from the wet towel and lay on a dry flat clean towel. Keep the item away from the sun and any heat sources.
Coax the item back into its shape, for example:  laying the sleeves and squaring the shoulders of a sweater (this is called blocking.)
Run your hands over the cashmere to flatten and remove any remaining small
pills.

Stay cozy & enjoy!

When treating stains, use your cashmere shampoo directly on the stain, blot until the stain disappears.
Do not rub the fabric surface, and do not use hot water. Hand wash according to our
instructions.

HAVE A DIFFICULT STAIN?

The Cashmere Shop garments can also be dry-cleaned. If you are unsure about treating the stain yourself,
promptly take the garment to a professional dry cleaner, being sure to give them as much information as you can about the nature of the stain.

We recommend hand-washing your cashmere garments with our mild Cashmere Shop Shampoo.
Our specially formulated shampoo protects the cashmere fibers, keeping them noticeably softer, and prolongs the life of your garment.
